If you have a Nexus device that was launched in 2012 (N4, N7, N10), be prepared to start shouting at the top of your lungs: There’s a software update waiting for you! Android 4.2.2 is rolling out now according to several users on the popular social news site Reddit. The update, build JDQ39, doesn’t have an official changelog yet, but people are reporting that Bluetooth audio is working a hell of a lot better than it was before.

Android 4.2.2 being pushed out to the GSM Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10!

Sweet...means the people over at XDA probably already have it and ROMs should be coming out with 4.2.2 soon.

4.2.2 is available for my TF101 on XDA but I'm sticking with 4.2.1 for speed and bugless reasons, I tried 4.2.2 and not keen on the new UI, everything is upside down and centred

4.2.2 source is droped. Your favourate rom developer may get a 4.2.2 out before your official update notification.

If BT audio is what changed for the better I'll just take the updated module then thanks. No need to install a whole update.

Flashed Nordic Countries' 4.1.2 firmware on an ageing Galaxy SII. Nature UX is smoother than Touchwiz. :)

I have 4.2.2 on Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 since last week. There are two noticeable improvements:

1. The OS feels much smoother again on the N7. 4.2.1 wasn't slow by any means, but not as buttery smooth as 4.1.x.
2. Battery life on both devices has improved.

Now bring on Key Lime Pie.
