Because IPBs system is pants.

The staff have moved the topic into a staff member only section. You presumably watched the thread and they didn't clear the watchers list..

The thing I am curious about is whether it sends you the content they added..

Also, your spelling is werid.. ;)

I hope they fix this issue as it has made the notifications area light up several times now.

It shouldn't do - that thread is hidden and nothing has been added to it by staff. Last post in there was 4am this morning (UK time).

It has done it twice.

The latest one being at 1:38 PM, Today.
