DeadEndAccount
interesting times ahead :) Microsoft Tipped To Launch Integrated OS, Last Bid To Save Windows Mobile - Microsoft is set to use Computex in Taiwan in June to unveil new mobile devices running on integrated OS, say sources, the move comes as Microsoft considers launching an Android powered device that would be a combination of Windows and Android technology (Windroid). http://channelnews.com.au/communication/BJCUCYIA-microsoft-tipped-to-launch-integrated-os-last-bid-to-save-windows-mobile.aspx It is perfectly plausible for Microsoft to launch a phone with Windows NT at the core and Android framework sitting on top - end of the day Android is merely a set of frameworks that can be picked up and placed on top of any platform one wishes if one has the motivation and resources to do so. One thing to remember is this: The future of Microsoft's growth is in the service (Cloud etc) sector which means it becomes less and less important what you run but instead whether you're using their service - does it matter if you access Office 365 on an Android if at the end of the day you're still paying for a subscription?
