myxomatosis
Somewhere in Cupertino Jony Ive must be laughing his ass off at the S5 design. Yeah, iPhone users are divas :) They don't care about what their phone can do, they care about how their phone looks on the table at restaurant. The iPhone isn't the only phone to beat the S5 in terms of design. HTC One, Sony Xperia Z1/Z2, Nexus 5 spring to mind.

Elliot B.
Good for fitness people but definitely a small upgrade for the rest of us. Here's hoping the S4 gets some of the features via. their next ROM update (if they do one). Also, since it's now waterproof/dust-proof, does this mean the battery is now non-user replaceable (or in my case, upgradable)?
techbeck
Yea, I will stick with my LG G2 and will continue to recommend the LG over the S4/S5. All the features in the S devices are nice I guess, but really how often do people ask for a heart rate monitor or use their phones for health conscious reasons. Also, curious how much space the software eats up on the phone. The Fit device looks kind of cool tho, but really nothing new that others have been doing already. Hype over nothing really. djdanster
Yeah that really was a very media event. The thing is, Samsung's events are always targeted at the consumer media, talking about great software features, but notice how they mention little about specific hardware, and not even a wiff of "Android"! djdanster
the galaxy s4 one was worse. Well at the time I was thinking "geez wtf" but now I look back and think, yeah it was corny, but it was exciting and kept you entertained... Even if it was a cringe fest. Samsung need to take lessons from HTC and Apple when it comes to hardware design. Never cared for the Galaxy series look after the S1 and never was a big fan of the physical center button. Have not had a button on my phone since the MyTouch 3g I had. And really ,refined design? I dont think so.
