DocM
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-27902634 Next up, EMP drones which can take out all electronic devices in a building/block/city (depending on how high they fly it, and how strong the EMP device is) /s Already getting there. The Boeing Phantom Works CHAMP (Counter-electronics High-powered Microwave Advanced Missile Project) is a testbed for EMP and electronic warfare drones, and the AESA phased array radars used in F-22 and F-35 have simlar capabilities if used that way. CHAMP works by directing a precise beam of high-energy microwaves at the target building or vehicle, disabling the electronics inside. IRRC the first generation of UCLASS unmanned fighters will have even more capability.
