For example, on https://www.neowin.net/news/microsoft-expected-to-announce-windows-9-on-september-30 or even with a page with 1 comment, there is a slight lag. Doesn't really bother me, unless the lag increases with more comments or added functionality, but it is noticeable. Go to a page then longpress the space bar till you reach the bottom of the page and there is a small lag. Not as bad ad Disqus though.

It's intentional. Comments no longer load with the article, only when you scroll there, and then all comments load. This was implemented for SEO reasons (don't index comments in Google search) and to hopefully fix a bug in Safari/iOS where the article would crash the browser when there are loads of comments.

The problem the with loading mechanism is that jumping to a specific comment through Notifications menu on the main page fails. Can't we have both?
