Yes. Any nudity is allowed but not real sex.

There is a fair bit of soft-core porn aided on Friday nights. CityTV has an adults-only movie (available on basic cable or over arial). Showcase and/or Bravo often show something artsy containing nudity. Plus shows like Real Sex which are quite hilarious (well, seasons 2 and 3 anyway). Teletino shows "Latin Lovers" which is a soft-core porn thing made by Playboy (in South America).

Yeah, we have loads, or did have loads of soft-core simulated sex. Now channel 5 is trying to be "better" which means no soft-core porn on friday nights any more. And there's channels dedicated just to soft-porn like television X and red hot TV. It is illegal for hardcore sex to be broadcast in the UK though, but apparently if you point your sky dish at some of the european satellites you can get their TV which does have hardcore sex.

I didn't answer the poll because ther is no "Depends". In the US, it depends on the channel. I've seen full, bordering x-rated nudity, on some cable channels in the us. And the pay channels don't have a problem with nudity, it's just the Networks that have a nudity problem.

I hate the FCC, and the other agencies that govern the Television/Radio. I guess it's religion that affects the US. I just want to hear the F word on tv.

Erm, that would be a yes then...

Well, I considered that answer a no actually. If you need to pay significantly extra to unscramble pay-tv channels or movie networks then that means that nudity is not allowed on regular TV.

I mean, if you are willing to pay extra you can get hard core movies or the Playboy channel or whatever else you want.

I think the question is more relevant to regular TV channels that most people get.

I'm in Canada and have to say not really... There is plety on late at night, but it's pretty contained during the day. It depends on your view of "nudity," I guess. I've been around lots, even been to one place before where there was a poster of a beach with a naked girl right in the airport! So Baywatch is like a Christmas carol to me now
