badnbusy
Selected applicants were notified today of their acceptance into the Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 beta test. Microsoft began taking nominations for the test beginning last October. "Dear Microsoft Beta Tester, Thank you for your interest in the Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4) beta program. We are pleased to inform you that you have been approved to participate in the SP4 beta program. You have been selected from a large pool of applicants because we believe you will provide us with useful feedback throughout the program. You will receive further information about the beta program in the near future. Thanks again for your participation. Microsoft Windows Sustained Engineering Team" Testers will be able to download interim releases of SP4 via BetaPlace and request copies of Windows 2000 integrated with the new service pack, which will function for 120 days. Rewards will also be given to testers who report the most bugs each week. So, it wont be long now, before SP4 emerges for these 'selected' beta testers. No doubt, the new build(s) will end up on some form of file transfer program, like IRC or Kazaa :p Will it be the last SP for Win 2000, i wonder? Jason
Of course it won't be the last SP, companies are still rolling out 2000. It has a long healthy life for a while yet. Rember NT4 went up to SP6a

I guess Win2k could go that far too, as its worth it and still very much in production, for businesses and academic institutions
