The Shield should win that match. Basically kills the angle otherwise.

Guess they aren't stripping the title, though, since that letter mentions that Ryback will get a title shot against Punk.

They really can't strip Punk of the title, if they want to continue his "title reign" storyline etc, not to mention they want him to face the Rock at RR and all that crap. But then again if he's really injured that bad and can't wrestle for like, 2 months, I would think Vince is insane for not stripping him of the belt. A month, or a few weeks are fine, he can still do TV, but 2 months or more is really pushing the bounds of what people expect from a champion defending his (fake) belt.

There has always been the '30 day rule' in that you have to defend your title every 30 days. Now, I realize they can do whatever they want, and they would ignore it if The Rock became champion, but if they want to keep it enforced (as Punk is a heel), then they have to get him through a title defense before the end of the year. He defended the title 11/30 at a house show, and was in action at a show 12/2 but didn't defend the title. Conveniently they are taping Raw 12/29 (a Raw/Smackdown double taping) to air 12/31. So they'll have Punk defend his title that night against someone, maybe even have him get intentionally DQed/Counted Out quickly. That gives him until RR to get 100% healthy and not break any established 'rules'.

Ah yes, forgot about that 30 day nonsense they have. I can see that scenario playing out. Totally.

I thought of that as well, but then I remembered WWE haven't enforced the 30 day rule in years. People mentioned it when Santino Marella was US Champion; he went almost two months between defences one time (April 29th ((Extreme Rules)) to June 25th ((RAW))). And it's not just Santino... http://bleacherrepor...le-defense-rule

...you guys are not going to believe this. Kevin Matthews, a former WWE developmental talent, has claimed that Bill DeMott once forced male talent to train naked. He's tweeted a picture too, which I'll link instead of actually embedding. Obviously, it's NSFW. You have been warned.

That guy is total bull****. He's just butthurt because he couldn't cut it in WWE. Bill DeMott is a highly respected guy in the business and has been for years now. He wouldn't be where he is in WWE if he sucked or did things like this. Not to mention that picture proves absolutely NOTHING. Who are those two? When was it taken? Where is DeMott supposedly laughing there (and making them do it)? etc etc.

Whatever Kevin Matthews. Post real proof of your accusations before you make a fool out of yourself. Oops to late.

Remember: Just because they didn't defend it on TV doesn't mean it wasn't defended.
They did skip it with Air Boom, but that was more out of the necessity of the tag team division being dismal.

It looks pretty old. Thats a New Years Revolution banner. Last held in 2007 (not sure what year the banner is from). When DeMott was a WWE competitor, not a trainer. And if it was after 2007 and the banner stayed up, DeMott had left WWE then. I doubt it was still hanging around in 2011 when he returned.

According to wikipedia, he was a trainer then before 07, so I guess its possible. But it almost looks like a joke of some sort, since only one of the two guys is apparently naked.
