John Veteran Posted April 13, 2003 Veteran Share Posted April 13, 2003 right click desktop > arrange icons > show desktop icons (off) this will remove all other icons as well, not just the recycle bin

kainashi
like i said in my first post, i'm using windows server 2003. not windows xp, so tweakui will not work with it.
obscure_detour
I had the same problem man. Solution: Start > Run > type "gpedit.msc" (without quotes obviously) Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Desktop > "Remove Recycle Bin icon from desktop" right click go to properties and enable it. Done! :) Thats it man.. you might have to refresh your desktop if it doesn't take effect immedietly. Hopes this helps, obscure detour
