Are they hacked away, or just invisible (as in, they're still there, but the graphics are erased)? The latter doesn't seem so, since you still have the soft shadow under windows... I'm asking, cause I'm curious that if you use Aero Snap then the windows still align nicely without leaving a gap "already"? The schools where I live have been using XP for quite some time. What on earth happened to the desktop icons? They have those old windows 98 solid squares instead of the nice shadows. That's about as ugly as the wallpaper they have there. The IT admin there must not be the smartest bulb. This is probably due to the colour depth being lower than 32-bit (16-bit or 24-bit) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
