Painkiller retail patch & server v1.3

As promised, DreamCatcher has now released a new patch for Painkiller, bringing the frantic first-person shooter People Can Fly to version 1.3. This release adds enhanced networking code, performance tweaks, support for All-Seeing Eye, gameplay improvements, bug fixes and more, and it's accompanied by a standalone Win32 server that allows server operators to host games without requiring to install the full game.

  • added 'Low Quality Multiplayer FX' checkbox in advanced graphics settings, removes ragdolls and some effects in favor of performance

  • added new benchmark based on Docks level (C5L2)

  • server settings changed by way of voting are reset to the default settings once players leave the server

  • now possible to set non-standard display resolution (i.e. LCD monitor resolutions) in the game menu without distortion

  • built-in support for All-Seeing Eye

  • "disconnect" console command added

  • 'showfps 1' command now includes packet loss information
