Canonical is set to pull support for Ubuntu 18.10 on Thursday. It's recommended that if you still run this version that you update to Ubuntu 19.04 now so that you continue to receive security updates.

Canonical has released Ubuntu 18.10 Cosmic Cuttlefish. This release brings a whole new theme and icon pack, marking one of the biggest graphical changes in its history. It's supported until July 2019.
Canonical has released the beta versions of Ubuntu 18.10 'Cosmic Cuttlefish' and the other derivative flavours. The firm also released upgrade instructions for users on Ubuntu 18.04.
Ubuntu's "benevolent dictator" Mark Shuttleworth, has announced that the upcoming version of Ubuntu, which is due in October, is codenamed Cosmic Cuttlefish and will focus upon improved security.
