Testers rounded up for participation in "Mira"

Yep, thanks Scyphe for sending me this image of Microsoft Betaplace and the initial participation survey request. A handful of testers have been selected to complete a survey, based on the response they will either be selected or (Quake 3 announcer voice) Denied!

What is Mira?

Well after a quick search on Neowin we have only headlined the technology once, you can read it here: "Japan PC Makers to Use Microsoft's Mira Technology". On Microsoft you can read the January 7th Press release Microsoft Unveils New Home PC Experiences With "Freestyle" and "Mira".

It has been said that Mira and Freestyle technology will possibly make its debut in SP1 for XP (Paul Thurrott, new features in XP SP1) looking at the possibilities and extensiveness of the technology I think we would see it in Longhorn but not XP. How the hell else could they sell Longhorn when it comes out? Microsoft have hinted on new features being made available from the next service pack for XP, but this would be going against everything they have done in the past. So lets not expect miracles when it does happen. I would expect minor changes.
