WhatsApp Business introduces QR codes and catalogue sharing

After seeing more than 50 million users join its platform, WhatsApp Business has now introduced new features that will help users not just find and chat with those businesses more easily, but also let them discover the goods that they have on offer.

The two new features include the addition of QR codes and the ability to share a catalog more easily, letting more customers glance through their virtual stores.

WhatsApp Business QR codes can be labeled on products or packaging letting customers who come across them instantly scan a code and connect for further support with the brand directly on WhatsApp. This reduces the need for a customer to add the WhatsApp number of the business to their contacts in order to get connected and chat with them.

Introduced last year, WhatsApp claims that more than 40 million people view a business catalog each month. So now, it’s making it easier for businesses to share catalogs and individual items as well through the use of links. The links can be shared on websites, Facebook, Instagram and other social platforms as well, and pretty much anywhere else you can copy and paste it on.
