Wordpress 2.0.3

Wordpress is one of the most popular blog tools on the internet today, combining ease of use and a very powerful backend into one extremely versatile piece of software.

Wordpress 2.0.3 was released today. This is a bug fix and security release, and is recommended for all WordPress users. In addition to an issue that was raised on Bugtraq a few days ago, the Wordpress team also backported a number of security enhancements from 2.1 to further enhance and protect your blog.

Changelog:

  • Small performance enhancements
  • Movable Type / Typepad importer fix
  • Enclosure (podcasting) fix
  • The aforementioned security enhancements (nonces)
Users should be aware that a small bug did ship with 2.0.3. This bug presents you with a "Are You Sure?" dialog when editing comments and then proceedes to add a backslash before each quotation mark in the post. Follow the second link below for a quick fix.
