It won"t be long before Google launches Android 7.0 Nougat, but version 6.0 Marshmallow is still slowly making its way to devices around the world. So far, just 13.3% of active Android devices are running Marshmallow, more than nine months after it was first released.
Samsung began upgrading its Galaxy Note 4 to Marshmallow in May, and now, the company is bringing the update to that handset in Australia.
Unlocked variants of the Galaxy Note 4 are starting to receive Android 6.0.1 there, and as SamMobile reports, the changelog for the update says that it includes:
- Exercise greater control over app permissions
- Purchase easily and securely with Fingerprint support
- Experience enhanced battery-life through Doze
- Redesigned App Drawer
As always, remember that it can take a bit of time for over-the-air updates to reach all eligible devices, so although the rollout has begun, it might be a little while longer before your Galaxy Note 4 gets a taste of Marshmallow.
