Apple has acquired the technolgies of Silion Color, which manufactures the FinalTouch range of colour correction software. A note on the company website says: "We are pleased to announce that all Silicon Color technology and intellectual property, including FinalTouch colour correction software, was recently sold to Apple."
The company adds that: "Maintenance agreements held by current Silicon Color customers will be honoured by Apple until they expire". Silicon Color tools are used by film and video editors.
