Apple has begun sending out invitations for an event that will take place on October 27. According to most rumors, the company will be unveiling new Macs.
The biggest rumor is for new MacBook Pro models, which should be redesigned with an OLED touchscreen across the top of the keyboard. The device could have Touch ID embedded in the power button as well and possibly ditch the traditional USB port.
Other than that, Apple could well have further announcements lined up for the event. Plenty of its products are overdue for a refresh - assuming that they have a one-year cycle - including the Apple TV, 12.9-inch iPad Pro, iPad Mini, and of course, the MacBook Air.
The event will be just one day after Microsoft"s big event on the 26th, where the firm is rumored to unveil a Surface all-in-one, as well as reveal more details of the next feature update to Windows 10, which is currently called Redstone 2.
Apple hasn"t held an event for Macs in a long time. For the past few years now, there has been a September event for iPhones and an October event for iPads, whereas Mac launches have pretty much been a sidenote. If the company will be focusing on Macs next Thursday, it might be best to pay attention.
