Ubisoft is continuing its post-launch support plans for its latest Assassin"s Creed game. Today, the studio unveiled a new Assassin"s Creed Shadows roadmap that covers the fall season, which includes multiple updates with fresh features, as well as a brand-new platform release: the Nintendo Switch 2. Catch the new trailer above.
The company will kick off the fall series of updates on October 28 with more upgrades to parkouring. This will carry a toggle to enable Advanced Parkour, which will let players eject while climbing at any height to give more freedom.
"The vertical ledge grab in regular parkour will now work in more situations, including non-standing objects, whether or not the advanced parkour toggle is on," adds the company. "From those non-standing objects, we are also introducing a new beam manual jump option. Finally, we are reintroducing a much-requested feature: the directional catch ledge mechanic."
In the same update, a new Corrupted Castles activity will pop up for players to complete, offering twisted versions of existing castles.
The next update is slated to land on November 25. This will include the third story drop titled A Puzzlement. Ubisoft says this quest has a humorous tone inline with Assassin"s Creed Odyssey, with it bringing back enemies from Naoe"s past.
The two protagonists will be learning important skills from each other at the same time too:
- Naoe will learn how to perform her own spectacular version of Yasuke"s war kick ability.
- Yasuke will learn how to stealthily dispatch enemies in a non-lethal way.
Assassin"s Creed Shadows launches on the Nintendo Switch 2 on December 2. It will carry all the post-launch updates and features that have hit other platforms right from the get-go, but the Claws of Awaji expansion will be coming later. Touchscreen controls will be supported for some elements like the world map, store, and hideout in this version too.
