CES 2026: Qualcomm brings Snapdragon X2 Plus to mainstream Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs

Last year, Qualcomm unveiled its Snapdragon X2 Elite series processors targeting high-end Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs. Today, at CES 2026, Qualcomm revealed the Snapdragon X2 Plus series processors, designed to power mainstream Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs.

The Snapdragon X2 Plus is powered by the third-generation Qualcomm Oryon CPU, claiming to deliver up to 35% faster single-core CPU performance compared to the Snapdragon X Plus processors. Thanks to the power-efficient CPU architecture and the 3nm process node, the X2 Plus consumes approximately 43% less power than the X Plus lineup. There are two variants in the X2 Plus lineup, find the details in the below image.

The Snapdragon X Plus processors featured a custom-built "Hexagon" NPU capable of delivering 45 TOPS of AI performance. With the new X2 Plus, Qualcomm claims up to 80 TOPS of AI performance to enable next-generation AI experiences. The Qualcomm Adreno GPU in the X2 Plus processors is up to 29% faster and supports up to three 4K external displays.

The Snapdragon X2 Plus also features optional integrated 5G, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth connectivity for an enhanced wireless experience. Qualcomm has positioned the Snapdragon X2 Plus as an enterprise-ready secure platform, with support for automatic presence detection, biometric authentication, and chip-to-cloud protection through the Qualcomm SPU and Microsoft Pluton. Enterprises can additionally opt for Snapdragon Guardian Technology, which combines hardware, firmware, and cloud services to enable out-of-band PC management from anywhere.

Kedar Kondap, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Computing and Gaming at Qualcomm Technologies, said:

“Modern professionals and creators want to do more, create more, and push the limits of generative AI and all-day performance. The Snapdragon X2 Plus platform delivers the power, efficiency, and intelligence to exceed their ambitions, making every experience more responsive and personal.”

Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs powered by the Snapdragon X2 Plus series processors will be available from leading Windows OEMs in the first half of 2026.
