CoD: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is PlayStation 4 exclusive for a month, out now

Following weeks of rumors, leaks, and data-mined material that pointed towards a remaster of the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign, Activision today released the game on the PlayStation 4. Meanwhile, Xbox One and PC players will be waiting a month for the remaster to hit their platforms due to an exclusivity deal between Activision and Sony.

As previously known, the remaster only includes the single-player story campaign, arriving with "improved textures, animations, physically based rendering, high-dynamic range lighting, and much more" on consoles. The PC version will have additional features like uncapped framerates and ultrawide monitor support.

Purchasing the game on PlayStation 4 or pre-purchasing it for an upcoming platform will provide some themed Modern Warfare multiplayer, Special Ops, and Warzone equipment immediately. These include the UDT Ghost Operator skin, Task Force and One for One weapon blueprints, a charm, finishing move, calling card, emblem, Ghost voice clip, and two Battle Pass tier skips.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is now available on PlayStation 4 costing $19.99, with pre-orders for PC (via Battle.net) and Xbox One going online soon, with a release coming on April 30. There seems to be an issue with the game"s release on the Russian PlayStation store, however, with Sony deciding to stop the launch in the country.
