On October 27, Halo 5: Guardians will be released, and Microsoft has been gearing up for the game"s launch by lining up some special edition releases. Yesterday, for example, it unveiled a limited edition Halo-themed 1TB Xbox One, featuring a stunning exterior design with matching controller.
Earlier this year, the company revealed that the game would be offered in three retail packages: Standard (the game on its own); Limited Edition (the game in a steel case, plus a bit of extra swag); and the Limited Collector"s Edition, which costs a staggering $250, and comes with all sorts of extras, including a "commemorative statue". But a fourth option is now available for those with even deeper pockets.
The Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector"s Edition "Pink Mist Edition" takes things to a whole new level, and includes everything in the "ordinary" Collector"s pack, but adds one unique extra into the mix: a life-size replica of the Needler Gun from the game series. Sadly - or, perhaps, mercifully - the replica lacks the deadly capabilities of the in-game version, but here"s what is included:
- LED lights
- In Game Sound
- Over 14 different needlers mechanically pop up and down in sequence when trigger is pressed – just like in game.
- Massive size – real life 1:1 model created from the original digital files used in game
- Limited Edition
- About 29” across and over 10” tall
