Google is making it easier for students to prepare for tests and practice learning on Gemini, as it is adding support for flashcards for its Workspace for Education users.
The flashcards are created instantly based on quiz results or other classroom materials, helping students review key concepts and identify areas where they need additional practice. Gemini will also provide personalized study guidance tailored to each learner"s particular needs.
Earlier in 2025, Google also added Guided Learning to Gemini, which breaks down complex concepts with step-by-step interactive explanations, complemented by integrated visuals and YouTube videos for enhanced interactivity and retention.

Google offers features such as “Shuffle mode,” hints, and text-to-speech audio that allow users to shuffle cards, receive helpful prompts, and listen to questions and answers. Users can also restart flashcard decks to revisit content as needed.
Beyond flashcards, Gemini quizzes offer additional user-friendly options where students can get hints via “Show hint,” ask follow-up questions to Gemini in real time, and navigate through quiz questions with “Next” and “Previous” buttons. After completing a quiz, users may review their overall performance through “Analyze my performance” or generate “More questions” for extra practice as well.
Google says data privacy controls on the Gemini app remain robust, as it operates under Google Workspace for Education’s stringent Terms of Service, including enterprise-grade data security that prevents human review or AI training uses of student data, prioritizing privacy and safety of its users.
