Injustice 2 is heading to PC this Autumn, open beta begins tomorrow [Update]

NetherRealm Studio"s superhero fighting game based in the DC Universe, Injustice 2, arrived for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 back in May. But, unlike the first game, the sequel did not reach the PC platform. Today, Warner Bros. mended that issue, announcing that Injustice 2 will be available on PC this Autumn, confirming the leaked store listings from last month to be true.

The game"s console editions were received very well by critics and fans alike, and for anyone unfamiliar with the title, the game"s description provided by the publisher is as follows:

Injustice 2 features a massive roster of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains and allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters. Players can fight their way across an epic Story Mode, ever-changing Multiverse and online multiplayer guilds - all while earning rare and valuable gear to fully customize their characters.

The Polish studio, QLOC, responsible for Mortal Kombat XL"s PC port is also working on the Injustice 2 PC version. The studio will be hosting an open beta for the game starting tomorrow, October 25 on Steam, which should hopefully help in avoiding another Batman Arkham Knight situation that plagued the PC version back in 2015, also by the same publisher.

However, Injustice 2 will not be exclusive to the Steam store on PC, as it will also launch on the Microsoft Store for Windows 10.

Update: The official Injustice 2 Twitter account has now announced that the PC open beta has been delayed, with it no longer beginning today as Warner Bros. announced previously. No new date has been provided just yet, with the tweet saying to look out for more information soon.

It seems PC players will need to wait even longer to get their hands on the fighting title. Hopefully, the delay is a short one.
