Microsoft is currently under heavy pressure from Apple with its recently launched MacBook Neo and its aggressive $599 price tag. To make matters worse, Microsoft dramatically increased the prices of its Surface devices, making even the most affordable models virtually irrelevant to anybody. However, Microsoft is not alone with its Surface PCs, and to tempt more users, particularly students, to buy a new Windows device, the company announced "the ultimate college bundle" that lets you save on various PCs and get hundreds of dollars of additional value with bundled services.
If you are a student in the United States, you can now purchase a new Windows device and get one year of Microsoft 365 Premium (with all the AI stuff included), one year of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (the highest, most expensive tier), and even a free custom-made Xbox Wireless Controller from the Xbox Design Lab. Note that only custom colors are included in the offer, and you will have to pay out of your pocket for extras, such as rubberized grips, metallic finishes, patterns, and more.
On top of that, Microsoft"s OEM partners, such as Lenovo, HP, ASUS, and Acer, offer big discounts on their laptops. From inexpensive, entry-level models to gaming machines that can not only help you do your homework but also entertain you with games, media, and more.
The offer is valid from now until the end of June 2026 (or until supplies last). To participate, you must be a student with a .edu email. After purchasing a new device (a complete list of eligible devices at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Dell, HP, and Microsoft is available here), Microsoft will send you an email or a pop-up notification on your new machine, offering to redeem the offer (redeemable until the end of July).
You can read more about it in the announcement on the official Windows Blogs website.
