Microsoft details "strong growth" of its Business Applications ISV Connect program

Last year, Microsoft unveiled the Business Applications ISV Connect program. With the introduction of this initiative, the tech giant planned to carve out a path for independent software vendors (ISVs) in terms of developing cloud-based, line-of-business (LOB) solutions with Dynamics 365 services and PowerApps.

The start of Microsoft"s digital Inspire conference today marks the first anniversary of the launch of the ISV Connect program. As such, the Redmond firm has provided an overview of how the initiative has developed over the past 12 months, and also offered a look into how it is planned to be enhanced moving forward.

For starters, more than 500 ISVs have enrolled in the program so far, certifying over 1200 apps in the AppSource store. A quarter-over-quarter growth rate of 30% has been achieved. Moving on, a Microsoft-commissioned research that was conducted last month shows that ISVs can achieve 75% faster development when using the Power Platform to scale and build a Business Applications ISV practice. Alongside this, a 90% return on investment (ROI) is boasted, with a 100% year-over-year subscription growth. The study, dubbed Total Economic Impact, was conducted by Forrester Consulting.

With regards to upcoming improvements to the program, new go-to-market benefits like event marketing services, and channel and geo expansion services will be introduced. Additional investments in AppSource have also been announced in order to help improve upon app discoverability and search results within the store.

For those who are interested in getting enrolled, the onboarding guide here provides detailed steps on how to do so.
