Microsoft is adding five games for Project xCloud on Android today

Microsoft started public testing of its Project xCloud streaming service back in October, but it only had a handful of games. Today, the service, which is still in preview and therefore free to use, has well over 50 games that you can play. The company is adding five more games today.

The new games are Journey to the Savage Planet, A Plague Tale: Innocence, Cities Skyline, Age of Wonders: Planetfall, and Mudrunner. The additions were announced by Larry Hryb (aka Major Nelson), and you can start playing them today.

However, they"re exclusive to the Android client. If you"re using the recently-launched xCloud preview on iOS, you"re still limited to just one game, Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Microsoft blamed this limitation on Apple"s App Store policies, although it didn"t say what that policy was, or how the firm plans to get around it.

But in the meantime, Android users have more games to play. Microsoft did promise that an xCloud client is coming to Windows sometime this year, so that should be coming pretty soon.
