Microsoft releases the July 2019 Xbox Update with more Game Pass features

Today, Microsoft released the July 2019 Xbox Update. Deviating from its usual naming scheme - not that there"s really a norm here - it would normally just be called the July update or summer update. It"s version 1907, making it the third monthly feature update since the more major 1904 update, so there"s not a lot that"s new.

First up is Xbox Game Pass. There"s a new "Play later" feature that should make it easier to manage the Xbox Game Pass catalog. With over 100 games to choose from, you can now mark the games that you"re interested in playing later on.

There are also improvements for Amazon Alexa. The Xbox Skill now works in more countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, and Spain. Alexa can do more too, as you can now ask it about Xbox Game Pass. You can ask what"s new on Game Pass, what"s leaving Game Pass, what"s popular on it, and more. You can find a full list of what you can say with Alexa here.

The July 2019 Xbox Update is available now. You can either update manually, or your console should take the update automatically overnight. Next up will be 19H2, or version 1910, which is currently being tested by Insiders in the Skip Ahead ring.
