Microsoft squeezes two more Android vendors to sign patent agreements

Microsoft has announced today that it has signed two more patent agreements with Android Vendors based out of Europe. The two companies who will now be paying royalties to Microsoft every time they sell an Android device are EINS and Hoeft & Wessel AG.

Microsoft has been aggressively pursing companies that are selling Android devices using its technologies to reclaim royalties. It was speculated that Google bought Motorola for its patents to help its vendors (and itself) be protected from Microsoft patent portfolio but so far, many Android vendors have fallen to Microsoft"s patent pressure.

Microsoft is now collecting royalties every time these vendors sell an Android device and seeing how Microsoft has inked many of these agreements with several different vendors, Android is bringing in quite a bit of revenue for the company.

Microsoft is likely far from being done pursuing Android vendors as the company works to protect its IP. We doubt this will be the last agreement we will see signed as Microsoft works to make it less profitable for vendors to produce Android related products.
