Nvidia App update brings Project G-Assist to laptops

Nvidia App, the company"s unified application for managing your device"s graphics settings and performance, has been updated to version 11.0.5. The highlight of the release is Project G-Assist support on laptops, a special tool that lets you control various PC settings with natural language. Additionally, the update brings optimal settings support for three new games and DLSS Override for 13 more games.

For those unfamiliar, Project G-Assist is a relatively new addition to the app, which uses large language models to understand your request and tweak various PC settings accordingly. For example, you can ask it for help in improving FPS. With Nvidia App 11.0.5, Project G-Assist received support for laptop commands. It can now control settings like BatteryBoost, WhisperMode, and optimal playable settings.

In addition to bringing Project G-Assist to laptops, Nvidia App 11.0.5 adds optimal settings support (the app can auto-tweak graphics settings for the best performance for you) for three new games: Borderlands 4, Grounded 2, and Mafia: The Old Country. 13 more games now support DLSS Override:

  • Jump Space
  • Dying Light: The Beast
  • Borderlands 4
  • Cronos: The New Dawn
  • Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion
  • Metal Eden
  • Predecessor
  • Hell is Us
  • Lost Soul Aside
  • Gears of War: Reloaded
  • METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER
  • Supraworld
  • EVE Online

Finally, Nvidia fixed a bunch of bugs:

  • Resolved an issue that caused game statistics to display as "N/A" for titles with separate executables for modes like Campaign and Multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where the game setting optimizations don’t work after PC restart.
  • Fixed an issue where DLSS Override - Model Presents incorrectly switched to “Custom”
  • Fixed an issue where FPS reported incorrect values when Smooth Motion is enabled.
  • Fixed an issue where a recording was incorrectly deleted when multiple recordings were removed rapidly from the gallery.
  • Various stability fixes.
