A new feature update for Telegram is now available for download, offering users a bunch of new capabilities for the already feature-packed messenger. With the August 2025 update, Telegram received music in profiles, the ability to select the default tab, gift upgrades, and other changes.
Telegram now lets you create in-profile playlists and display music in your profile in "a stylish bar beneath your photo." Simply tap an audio file in any chat and select "Add to profile." All the added tracks will be arranged in a playlist, and users who open your profile will be able to see what is currently playing. Additionally, Telegram on Android now has a redesigned UI with new animations, which were brought from iOS in a recent dev contest. Finally, you can select the default tab for your profile so that anyone visiting it will be able to jump right to your gifts, stories, or archived posts.
If you have a bunch of Telegram gifts, you can now apply custom chat wallpapers based on unique attributes of each gift. One gift can only be used in one chat. Also, you can send Telegram Stars to upgrade someone else"s gifts, trade gifts with other users, and even see the approximate value of each gift, its average resale price, and other useful information for gift collectors.
Finally, developers have upgraded the Stickers Mini App, allowing users to create and manage not only stickers, but custom emoji as well and view their usage stats.

Interestingly, there is still no information on the promised Telegram x Grok partnership, which Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, announced a few months ago (a bit prematurely, according to Elon Musk).
