Many folks are anxiously awaiting for Nokia to put the finishing touches on the GDR2 and push it out to customers and on that note we’ve got some good news. The Australian carrier Telstra announced that they’ll start pushing the update tomorrow for all Nokia Lumia 920s.
This update consists of GDR2 from Microsoft that addresses some issues and adds a few features to the Windows Phone operating system. And it also includes Amber from Nokia which brings a lot of new features to Lumia smartphones such as call and SMS filters and the Nokia Smart Cam suite. For more info on what the phones are like after getting the update you can check out this thread.
While we’ve already seen the GDR2+Ambers ROMs floating around on Nokia’s servers it’s nice to finally see a carrier officially pushing out the update. Hopefully, other devices, as well as other carriers will start receiving the update soon.
