Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 finally gets a firm release date

Paradox Interactive had a Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2-related announcement to make during the Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase earlier today, where it finally attached a firm release date to the RPG. Watch the latest trailer showing off the gameplay above.

Paradox has been delaying Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 since its announcement back in 2019. The RPG title even went through a complete developer change and reboot, with the publisher swapping out Hardsuit Labs for The Chinese Room. Earlier this year, despite development being done, the game got delayed once again, with the studio saying that it needs more time for polish, pushing it to the second half of 2025.

The narrative of Bloodlines 2 will be experienced by players as two characters, the Elder vampire Phyre and Malkavian detective Fabien.

"After centuries of torpor, a deep state of vampiric slumber, Phyre awakens in modern-day Seattle with a mysterious mark that has locked away their Elder abilities and Fabien’s voice echoing in their head," describes the studio. "As Phyre, players meet the city’s ruling Kindred vampires, each with their own motivations, and uncover Seattle’s dark secrets while reclaiming their lost vampiric powers."

Meanwhile, when Phyre rests, his dreams take over from Fabien"s perspective in a neo-noir 1920s Seattle setting. This stage must be used to solve the mystery behind his murder.

Paradox also announced two special editions for the game today. The Bloodlines 2 Deluxe Edition carries a cosmetic pack for Phyre’s in-game apartment inspired by the original Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. Next, the Premium Edition carries the same cosmetics, as well as the Shadows & Silk content pack, which enables the Lasombra and Toreador as additional clans for players to select, with unique abilities and playstyles.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is releasing on October 21, 2025, on Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
