Xbox One team teases upcoming Party feature for the console

This weekend, Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra tweeted a short teaser, showcasing a new feature that’s coming to the Xbox One console through a future software update.

The feature in question allows users to see who’s in a certain party before actually joining it. While not revolutionary by any means this still was one of the most requested features by console users, so it’s great to see Microsoft continue to focus on its customers’ wishes.

There’s no word on when exactly this feature will reach consoles, but so far the Xbox One team has a good track recording on pushing monthly updates. Just a few days ago, Xbox One consoles got a small bug fixing update, while the last major feature update happened in November, with the addition of Xbox 360 backwards compatibility to the current-gen console.

Seeing as this new party feature seems to be almost complete, we’ll hopefully see it in the next software update, slated for February. Though if you happen to be in the Xbox Preview program you might get to test out the new feature much sooner.
