Microsoft has just kicked off a new Free Play Days event for Xbox players, giving them the chance to try out a bunch of games over the weekend without needing to open the wallet. The company"s latest promotion has four high-profile multiplayer-focused games included in it, and surprisingly, all of them don"t need any subscriptions to jump in.
Usually, Free Play Days has at least one game that wants an Xbox Game Pass subscription, be that Ultimate, Premium, or Essential. This time though, anyone can just jump in and try all four out for free. Two of the games even have their free play events running past the weekend.
From Microsoft"s own studios land two games, namely Fallout 76 and Grounded 2. The former, by Bethesda, offers a multiplayer RPG experience set in the popular post-apocalyptic universe, while the latter, by Obsidian, brings a miniaturized survival game where you go against the dangers of a small park.
Next, also available is Ubisoft"s medieval hero fighting game For Honor for some melee action, as well as the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight, where four survivors go up against iconic monsters and killers from various popular universes.
Keep in mind that the Fallout 76 and For Honor free promotions will be ending on February 5. Meanwhile, the Dead by Daylight and Grounded 2 promotions will end on Sunday, February 1. As always, any progress made during the weekend also carries over automatically if you decide to purchase a game afterward.
Here are the announced games and the Xbox platforms they are available to play on right now:
- Fallout 76 (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One)
- For Honor (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One)
- Dead by Daylight (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC)
- Grounded 2 (Xbox Series X|S, PC)
To easily find the titles on Xbox consoles, first head to the Store, then in the sidebar, see the Home section. In there, open the Subscriptions tab. The Free Play Days collection will show up in this area.
