MariosX
Hello I would like your suggestions I will be getting an SSD which will have 450-500GB storage space and I want to partition it I will be using three operating systems: 1) Windows 7 [compatibility issues] 2) Windows 10 [main os] 3) Linux [Education Purposes] 4) Linux Swap 5) User Files Well I know for a fact that I can install WIndows 7 on Windows 10 using VHD which is superior than a virtual machine but inferior of using a actual partition I might skip it. Linux swap should be 1.5 of physical RAM which is 12.288MB because I have 8GB RAM So should I create the following partitions: 1) 200GB Windows 10 [Windows 7, Office, Couple of Programs] 2) 60GB for Linux 3) 12.29GB for Linux Swap 4) The remaining space for User files Can I shrink/enlarge/change the partitions after? Any other suggestions?
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted October 24, 2016 Moderator Share Posted October 24, 2016 Can't you just use virtualbox/vmware for Linux Distros? Use a HDD for data storage.
MariosX
No because Virtual Machines cannot use the 100% hardware potential and I'm against working in a virtual machine environment
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted October 31, 2016 Moderator Share Posted October 31, 2016 Get several Raspberry Pi's? But, in all seriousness, why not buy several small SSD's? I think the price is the same... You could swap them.
