My Panopticlick results, need help

Recommended Posts

I'm using the latest FF as well with Ublock, NoScript, and HTTPS Everywhere, just like you, and the only thing it does not give me was the last one, fingerprinting.

IS there anyway to get yes, without installing anything additional?

Most likely no, I just tested it in a portable browser with no add-on's and it failed all the tests.

Hm, it's been a while since I used NoScript. I'll install it and see what results I get.

It almost impossible to not be fingerprinted via browsing and it requires stopping all JavaScript, using Tor, and doing stupid stuff (lower your resolution, removing fonts, probably changing your browser).

In other words, browsing will really suck. Worse, you can't do this on a permanent basis aka against all trackers.

I am curious... Is this just to see if you can do it or do you think their is some practical reason to do this?

I just used that link to test my installs of Chrome, Vivaldi, Brave, and Firefox.

Nothing passed all of those tests.

My conclusion is that to be truly safe I need to stay off of the internet, never go outside, keep the doors, and windows closed, covered, and bared, and generally have nothing to do with another person as they might get me.

The world is a dangerous place. Even the digital one it seems. Shucks.

Thanks for the reply and the links!

I want to know how far I'm willing to go in protecting my information while still being able enjoying my web surfing experience, know what I mean?

And the Geek side of me is always interested in what other Geeks have to say about this stuff. Maybe I can learn something new? Or find out some new information about a add-on I've been using that I didn't know?
