+Warwagon MVC Posted April 26, 2017 MVC Share Posted April 26, 2017 I recently moved my 30-inch monitor upstairs to my couch computer because I wasn't downstairs as much anymore. I was wondering if my Brix Pro would drive the dell 30-inch U3011 and the specs of the Brix pro said .. 4K resolution output (4096 x 2304 via HDMI) So I tried that but the HDMI on the actual monitor said it only supports 1920 .. so I had a mini display port to HDMI and a DVI adapter and that didn't work either. I ended up getting this cable Mini Display port to DisplayPort https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C7RJQPY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Now I have the full resolution of 2560 x 1600 I posted it on Neowin so it would show up on a Google search if anyone had this same question. There was nothing when I searched matching that search. Mando 1 Share
Mando
I had an old Hanns G which was like that, via HDMI it would spit out 1920x1080 but if i fitted a DP to DP cable it would support 1900x1200......most odd! A lovely res for Win btw.
+Fahim S. MVC Posted April 26, 2017 MVC Share Posted April 26, 2017 My U2711 is the same. Can't do more than 1920x1080 over HDMI. It will quite happily do it over DVI, DisplayPort or VGA. The problem is on the monitor end.
