Why do all websites have a white background?

My friend is having some trouble with his computer. Every web page he visits has a white background even if the website has another color background. This problem occurs in both IE and the newest version of Firefox. He is running Windows XP. I have no idea what is wrong with his computer/settings, can someone help me out. THANKS

Try using the same browser, you are using IE and he is using firefox, try disabling ad blocking if he has it also

tools > options > content > colors

Its possible a firewall is blocking some content on the pages. Check to see if that is the case.

definitely in settings as the colors change also. ;)

edit : unless stylesheets are all blocked. :o

Simple question - Have you made sure there's no more files left in the temp folders? Also, make sure the internet connection is stable. If it's wireless, sometimes the connection can be interuptted and not load the entire page.
