MightyJordan
I've been getting random pop-ups when I'm surfing the internet. I had this problem years ago, but back then, it was also happening when I wasn't even on IE. The pop-ups keep relating to the same thing; "click here for model sites". Has anyone ever had this before? And if they have, is it spyware or a virus? I did a scan with AVG last night, and it didn't find any viruses, but I'm not too sure. MightyJordan
It could be try Windows Defender I had got rid of this a month ago. I wasn't too sure if I needed it. Which program is better: Spybot: Search and Destroy, or Windows Defender? Brody McKee
I had got rid of this a month ago. I wasn't too sure if I needed it. Which program is better: Spybot: Search and Destroy, or Windows Defender? Use Windows Defender, along with something else if you feel you need to. I only run defender and haven't seen spyware for over a year. simsie
It appears you have NSIS Media (from c:\program files\common files\nsis or something like that). I found that Defender couldn't pick it up. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/522565-is-ths-spyware/#findComment-588146310 Share on other sites
