Hey guys, I've just noticed that Virgin Megastores have the Collectors Edition and Legendary Edition "deleted by supplier" yet my order still states "In Progress". Are they pulling orders because of the dodgy case or only have a limited supply?

My guess is it's from a limited supply since the Legendary Edition doesn't have problems with the case. It's only the Collector's Edition, so they wouldn't need to pull both if that was the reason.

that sucks!! I played online yesterday night and man I was kicking some ass!! I went up to Level 4. I played another game and they wooped me so bad! its not even funny and they lowerd my score to 2 =( whats up with that! lol

4?

I apologize.

Hungarian gaming site Gamekapocs is reporting that some Halo fans couldn't wait to get Halo 3 legally, so they broke in to a video game store-house to get their hands on it. They recorded the whole burglary, you can watch it below.

When they are in the store they can't decide to get only one piece per people or a whole box. One of them asks ironically: "Do you want get rich from this or what?". So they finally don't take the whole box.

The video ends with showing the thiefs playing Halo 3 and saying: "September 26th, you know. Sure."

The closing caption: "You owe us one. :p"

Pretty sad if you ask me, that is if this isn't fake - I mean what idiot films themself stealing a damn videogame and then uploads it to the Internet?

Yeah, to add to the scratched disk point...I work for Best Buy, we have had a number of exchanges already. Hell, when I bought mine, I opened it before I left the store...and yes, I got a scratched one too. Luckily the one I exchanged it for was fine.

Microsoft To Offer Scratched Halo 3 Disc Replacements

Microsoft To Offer Scratched Halo 3 Disc Replacements Following numerous reports of scratched discs in Microsoft's just launched Halo 3 limited edition, the company has announced a new campaign to replace any damaged discs through the end of the year.

Reports of damaged discs circulated widely in the lead-up to the launch of the much-awaited game. Various press editors (including some of Gamasutra's own) and retailers have noted a high likelihood of the game disc having coming unstuck from its packaging post and subsequently scratched in shipping.

In response, Microsoft has announced a replacement program, accessible via the Xbox site which promises free discs through December 31st of this year.

The replacement program covers both the game disc and the bonus 'essentials' disc packed in the Halo 3 Limited Edition package. The standard and Legendary edition use different packaging that is not as susceptible to damage. After the end of the year, the charge for replacement discs will rise to $20 for U.S. customers.

Well, after what seemed to be an extremely long day at work, I get to leave in about 5-10 minutes.

I have to drive about 20 minutes out of the way that I normally take, and I am going to probably be hitting a hell of an amount of traffic, but it is to go pick up my paid in full copy of Halo 03 from Best Buy. Will be on tonight, more than likely just playing the Single Player campaign though, we will see.

shouldn't of happened in the first place really.. didn't the package manager think of this ahead of time?? from placing it into the container, to how much it would shake inside a truck shipping the thing, this should all be standard procedure.

glad to see microsoft acknowledged the problem, and is fixing it :)

i hoe the guy incharge of packaging doesn't receive a bonus lol

    • Microsoft admits one of the most crucial Outlook features is currently broken by Sayan Sen Microsoft is making some decent progress when it comes to Windows 11. Recently we have confirmed reports of some rather useful improvements landing in the next version of the OS, 26H2, wherein GPU driver TDR crashes may finally be fixed, plus the company is also allowing users to disable web content on the Search. On the Outlook front though things have not been so rosy. Last month in May we reported several problems affecting basic functionalities on the app. These included a problem where documents would open blank or corrupt themselves. Following that, Quick Steps, a very useful feature, would no longer work correctly, and finally, Microsoft acknowledged a problem wherein images would fail to load up properly inside the email. Microsoft had resolved those bugs later and almost exactly a month after we reported on them, the company has now admitted a new similarly basic issue, this time on Macs. Users recently started noticing that Outlook would no longer display email threads properly as the original message itself was not displayed. An affected user Tsoumpas, C (ngmb) nicely described the problem in a forum post they made on Microsoft's site. They wrote: "Description of the issue: After updating Outlook for Mac [Version 16.110 (26061317)] on 18/6/2026, replying to any email no longer includes the original message in the reply window. Prior to the update, replies correctly contained the original email text below my response. Expected behavior: The original message should be included in the reply, as in previous Outlook versions and according to the configured reply settings. Actual behavior: The reply window contains only a blank composition area (or only my response), with none of the original email text included." Obviously this must be a highly frustrating for users as noted by several in that thread. The post, at the time of writing, has also been upvoted by more than 40 users indicating that is a fairly widespread bug. Thankfully Microsoft seems to have acknowledged the problem right around that time as it opened a new issue on its official website. In the support article, the company recommends switching to Outlook for Mac from the legacy app, where the problem appears to be happening.
