Not sure if you know but the 2.5 release made regedit incredibly ugly, 8bit icons with yellow folders.

Not sure why.

It's not possible to fix that regedit problem. Those list controls were designed to display 4-bit icons only. It's not the only case within the operating system, being Outlook Express' folder list another example. :(

Dave.Net is right. There is no way to fix this. I prefer my ugly custom icons that default ones. If you dont like mine, just overwrite regedit.exe with your own ;)

No, it has an installer like version 2.5 did. But also, with the new "i386 patching" feature, you can make a XPized Windows CD.

Yes, thats the "i386 patching" feature I'm talking about :) The installer willl be able to produce a pack with all Windows XPized files, cabbed and ready to integrate in your custom installation of Windows.
