Not Hasslehoff, if he's there let him be the one to hand down the title to someone new. Something like what happened in Batman Beyond with Bruce handing the role down to Terry.

Scenario, Hasslehoff tracking down some guys, KITT gets wasted, new guy saves Hasselhoff, Hasslehoff brings new guy to Knight Industries, new guy sees prototype, takes prototype for some sort of personal vengence, becomes new knight rider.
