After three weeks of Tina Fey's fantastic ratings on Saturday Night Live, Sarah Palin has reportedly decided to cash in. Apparently there's been brainstorming on the idea that the Alaska governor could appear on NBC (as early as Thursday, when the comedy show will debut a mid-week "Weekend Update" segment during prime time, or two weekends from now during the next live broadcast) making fun of Fey herself. The idea, apparently, is to spoof the 30 Rock writer's American Express ads. We can't wait to see whether this will happen ? like many candidates before her, Hillary Clinton made a good-natured appearance earlier this year to deflate Amy Poehler's characterization of her, but it sort of seemed like that was because Poehler liked Clinton. McCain is a friend of SNL, but it seems to us that the show's writers hate Sarah Palin.

After weeks of massive ratings and huge buzz derived from its Tina Fey-as-Sarah Palin guest appearances, Saturday Night Live extended its political satire into special Thursday episodes beginning last night. So how did the Not Ready for Primetime Players weather the transition to the only NBC timeslot not currently bought up by Barack Obama?

Answer: Awkwardly! Without Tina Fey on board or even the much-rumored Sarah Palin-as-Fey meta explosion, SNL's attempt at a presidential debate skit underwhelmed almost as much as the actual debate. Even guest appearances by Bill Murray and Chris Parnell couldn't quite mask the fact that after weeks of mining rich, varied material, SNL returned to its "beat one single joke into the ground over nine minutes" roots. In this case, it was the premise that Tom Brokaw didn't allow the debaters enough time to make interesting points. Laughing yet? Then the entire sketch awaits you below!

They really need to look at the great Eddie Murphy, Will Ferrel, Adam Sandler, David Spade, Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Mike Myers, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, Chris Farley (Most being Fat though :D) eras see what made them ... GREAT! If I missed other Funny former SNL members, I am not saying you aren't funny.

I don't know, maybe it's the personal Talent, maybe it's the script... I am leaning toward to latter though. I think the script is weaker than before.

Hire better writers!

Fred Armisen's portrayal of Obama just doesn't work for me, he doesn't make me laugh much :( They need to seriously also hire more comedians.

And, what's up with just 1 hour+, sometimes I feel it's just not enough, with my Favorite actors/actresses as hosts. Would be great, if they Make it TWO hours whole!

Seriously, 1 whole hour seem to be just on Weekend updates and the 2 music performance.

I feel the same way, better writing. Fred Armisisen did a terrible job at portraying Obama. I hope they find someone better as he will a likeness of Obama will be on allot.
