Aill I remember from the original mini series as I did watch it when it originally aired, is Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) bits the head off of a mouse then eats it. I remember the trailers on TV scaring the hell out of me as I was younger, then the actual mini series not being that scary at all. Hopefully not the case this time around.

Yeah, Robert was not playing a very bright alien, but he was on the good side. I remember when he said "You're a real zero", he meant hero, oh well.... V was good at the time.

V Casts its Evil Leader

It looks like the remake of the television min-series V has cast its new evil alien leader, apparently named Anna. Former space-hooker Morena Baccarin (okay, she only played a space-hooker on the TV series Firefly) will be playing that particular role. She even bares a passing resemblance to Jane Badler, who originally played a similar role (when the character name was Diana) back in the 1980's.

Baccarin was great on Firefly. I loved the interplay between her and Nathan Fillion as Captain Reynolds. This just gives her something else to talk about when she goes around the sci fi convention circuit.

The Hollywood Reporter article also mentions a some other casting in the coming season, including Tony Hale (formerly of Arrested Development) in a new series called Cop House and Eliza Coupe an ABC remake of the British series No Heroics. So, of the three, Tony Hale is the only one not appearing in a remake. Good for him!

ok she is damn fine, but they really don't need to bring this show back. I'm getting tired of 80s remakes.

Wow, she does look like Diana! It's spooky, I watched V the other day. Man did I love that miniseries. It wasn't even that good really, but it was just fun. And the short lived tv show was ok as well, it wasn't given a chance though really imo.

I don't mind all these remakes and reboots, as long as they respect the source material or original and don't go overboard with redoing everything and anything. Like with BSG, I loved the way they redid it, and the same with several other recent remakes. That being said, they better have someone, at some point, bite the poor little mouse and eat it. And rip off their skin to reveal scales and that they are freaking lizards!

Elizabeth Mitchell Cast in "V"

I sure hope this doesn't mean what I think it does: Lost heroine Elizabeth Mitchell has been cast in ABC's eagerly anticipated V pilot.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking -- that this confirms Juliet as the major character who gets bumped off at this season's end? Yeah, I kinda thought you might be with me on that one.

However, my moles at ABC and Warner Bros. (which is producing V) say we need to chill, because Mitchell is just a guest star on V. But, however much I may want to chill, that's pretty hard to do, since everyone told me the same thing when tailie Cynthia Watros booked a pilot (and two months later, Libby was pushing up daisies).

So what do you think? Am I making much ado about nothing? Or is Juliet a goner? And in either case, how much cooler a project is V now that Mitchell's attached? I'm thinking "way."

Morena Baccarin is Perfect for the role. She was about the only good thing about the Ori Plotline In Stargate SG-1

Thanks for reminding me, I'd almost blocked that whole season out. :x

Stargate SG-1 went to hell the second O'Niell left. I remember saying it only had three seasons left after that and I was dead right.

I remember V being way cool way in the 1980's or whenever it was. I saw it (either the mini series or the short lived TV show, not sure) on TV somewhat recently and I could believe how cheesy it was. It's one of those things that I remembered being better than it actually was.

(The Original) BattleStar Galactica was much the same.

There's a reason to give it chance right there.
