Former WWE star Umaga, real name Edward Fatu, has died at the age of 36 after suffering a second heart attack, wrestlingobserver.com is reporting.

Fatu was taken to a Houston-area hospital after his wife found him unconscious with blood coming from his nose earlier today.

He had returned from Australia just a few days ago after wrestling on the Hulk Hogan tour of the country.

He was released from WWE in June after failing a drug test and refusing the WWE's offer to attend drug rehab.

He is probably best known for headlining a Wrestlemania against Bobby Lashley in a match where WWE owner Vince McMahon put his hair on the line against the hair of Donald Trump.

This is shocking, disturbing because of his age and just generally sad news :(

I can't believe it. Eddie Fatu (Jamal/Umaga), his brother Solofa Fatu (Rikishi) and his cousin Matt Anoa'i (Rosey) were some of my favourite wrestlers when they were all in WWE, especially when Rosey and Jamal formed 3-minute Warning.

I wonder what part his past drug usage played in his death. Such a senseless death, like most pro-wrestling related deaths. There seriously needs to be a union or at least some sort of health care system in place for the big companies to offer their contracted performers.

And yeah Calum, I loved 3-Minute Warning also. Especially when Bischoff would come out and do his thing and say "Oh and you have....3 minutes" or whatever. It was a really good schtick actually.

It's amazing that just a few days ago he and Rikishi were wrestling on the Hogan tour of Australia.
