Probably should. and I would be surprised if you couldn't change president later. the "clan" system seems fairly well thought out.

You probably could, but what if he's like a dictator and doesn't want to give up power? :p Can we overthrow the president?

Pretty Nifty, but this same thing can be handled by the secondary stick, since Turn 10 can make the secondary one only for this purpose...

With the controller yes, but we can't with the wheel. Now we can, if we use Kinect.

GT5 still has the best lighting in a racing game. Forza looks like everything is coated in plastic :( That said, Forza 4 will no doubt be better than GT5...they've been steadily improving the series with each entry this generation...though I did feel as though the career in 3 was a bit stale after 10 hours.

GT5 had the best lighting, until Forza 4 was shown. The GT5 shots almost looked aged now in comparison.

I'm so tempted to pre-order the LCE, but I have a feeling it'll be the same story as Forza 3, meaning it'll dramatically drop in price a couple of months after release. Plus, I haven't got a steering wheel for the 360. If Logitech's wheels were officially supported on the 360 (I know there's the XCM F1 adapter that'll allow Logitech's PS3/PC wheels to work on the 360 ((provided you've got a wired 360 controller)), but they're bloody expensive!), then I'd pre-order the LCE right now for the full ?60. But alas, it doesn't. :( Maybe I can pick up a cheap official 360 wheel (the old one, not that crappy wireless Mad Catz one with no force feedback); I've done it before (I got rid of it after a week, because I sucked at using steering wheels back then. On the bright side, I made ?20 profit :p ), so I should be able to do it again. Less than ?40 will be good enough for me. :)

Lot's of wheel options for Forza 4, with yet another being announced this fall.

I've never seen that CSR one before. I'll keep an eye on that one, but I imagine that will cost a lot.

That new Mad Catz one looks fairly good, and it's thankfully got force feedback this time. :) Plus the firmware updates via PC is a good idea too. There's only two things that make me sceptical about it: Mad Catz are saying that it's "being launched under their casual gaming brand", and steering wheels are one accessory I wouldn't really consider to be casual. And the other thing is that the quality of Mad Catz's products are, well, questionable, at times. There's lots of stories around various forums about Mad Catz products with questionable build quality, and, well, I've been a victim of that as well, with Rock Band 3's official pro drum kit, which Mad Catz make. I'll keep an eye on it, nevertheless, but I'll wait for a few comprehensive reviews first.

I actually looked at the Fanatec wheels just now, and I've got two words to say: hell no. The only model they sell now that is compatible with the 360 is the 911 GT2, which costs 250 Euros (about ?220), and doesn't even come with any pedals! Even after blowing over 200 quid on a steering wheel, you have to shell out another 40 Euros just for the pedals! And to top it off, it doesn't even come with paddle shifters or even a table clamp; you have to buy those separately as well! That is what I call a monumental Monster Cable-style ripoff.

The Wireless Speed Wheel isn't a steering wheel, it's a standalone verison of the Wii Wheel. :p

And that other Mad Catz one is the MC2, which doesn't have force feedback; just vibration feedback, so that's a no-no.

At the moment, I'll keep my sights locked on a second-hand version of Microsoft's wheel; that's still the best all-rounder on the 360. It's got force feedback, the build quality is good, and compared to wheels from Fanatec, it's good value for money.

Actually, the Fanatec's available for the 360 are the Porsche Turbo S, the GT2 and of course, Fanatec makes the CSR and CSR Elite, which will be comparable to the G25/G27 in price, but better and will work on PS3, 360 and PC.

I'm guessing the Turbo S is discontinued? Because there's only four wheels available for sale on the European webshop, and only one of them is compatible with the 360.

And I missed in the article that Fanatec's making the CSR wheels, so I'll cross those off my list. I refuse to spend more than ?100 on a steering wheel. :p I got the Driving Force GT for ?70, and it's a dream to use. I don't need alcantara steering wheels, or a clutch pedal, or an H-shifter. I'm more than happy with a rubber wheel, bog-standard "paddle-shifters" (which are actually big buttons), a little sequential stick, and two pedals. :)

Nice. GT5 vs. FM4 on the ring in bimmers. Looks like FM4 has raised the bar my friends. Nice.

LOL It took a Forza update to bring out Soldier from the woodwork :D

welcome back soldier...and toast is right, Forza 5 is def 720, there's no doubt about it now. this is indeed the last big year of the 360 as the primary console for MS, enjoy it, it's been an awesome awesome ride!

Even though the 720 will be here, MS says the 360 still has nearly 5 more years to go. We shall see if they port a version to the 360 as well.

GT5 is going to look REALLY dated now. In my opinion Forza 3 looks much better and reacts more 'realistic' then GT5 does currently

GT5 was really "dated" the day it was released to be honest, it couldn't hold a candle to Forza 3. I mean I own both games and enjoy them both (and I definetly will be getting Forza 4, there is no doubt on that one) but unless Polyphony can pull a rabbit out of their hat* with GT6, GT is dead in the water to be honest. Don't get me wrong, GT5 is still a fantastic game but they got too ambitious (and it feels so unfinished, don't even get me started on the whole premium/standard car debarkle!) and they made the biggest mistake of doing it all in house (with such a tiny dev team), Turn 10 on the other hand has a much bigger dev team and outsourced the car models, so it's not wounder they can pump out better all round games in such a short time frame. That is my 2 cents, take with a grain of salt.

* = I expect they will, GT5 was a complete rewrite after all so most of their time was spent building the game engine, but this time [with GT6] they can spend more time polishing the engine alot more and adding in features etc to make it a better all round experience. So I'm confident Polyphony can redeem themselves.

Even though the 720 will be here, MS says the 360 still has nearly 5 more years to go. We shall see if they port a version to the 360 as well.

I hope they don't, much rather it being "Xbox 720" exclusive. I mean why would you want them to gimp it to run on the 360? much rather they took it to the next level on the 720 only, however, that is just me.

    • AMD 26.6.2 driver brings FSR 4.1 support to RDNA 3 RX 7000 series graphics cards by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe A new driver is rolling out to Radeon graphics hardware owners, and alongside support for new games, AMD has just made its FSR 4.1 upscaling tech available to an entire generation of its products. Last month, AMD announced it is answering community requests to bring FSR 4.1 to past generations of its Radeon graphics cards. This would be starting with RDNA 3 RX 7000 products. Right on schedule, this is what's rolling out now with the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.2 driver containing official support for over 300 games. Following this, AMD is planning to bring out RDNA 2 (RX 6000 series) support for FSR 4.1 sometime in early 2027. As for the games, this Adrenalin 26.6.2 driver is a recommended install for anyone jumping into Ubisoft's upcoming Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced remake or id Software's DOOM: The Dark Ages' Revelations expansion. The two fixed issues in this release are these: Intermittent application crash or driver timeout may be observed while playing RoadCraft on Radeon™ RX 7000 series products. Purple screen may be displayed when using an HP Reverb G2 headset with SteamVR on Radeon™ RX 6000 series graphics products. The known issues AMD is still working on are the following: Intermittent application crash or driver timeout may be observed while playing Battlefield 6 on AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. AMD is actively working on a resolution with the developer to be released as soon as possible. Texture flickering or corruption may appear while playing Battlefield 6 with AMD Record and Stream on some AMD graphics products. AMD FSR Upscaling and AMD FSR Frame Generation may show as inactive in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition while playing Battlefield 6 when enabled on Radeon™ RX 9000 series graphics products. Failure to install may be observed while installing AI Bundle components in some regions with limited access to HuggingFace and GitHub. Model flickering or rendering failure may be observed in Maxon Cinema 4D and Blender on Radeon RX 7000 series and above graphics products. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to install AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.3.1. Intermittent application crash may be observed on some models while running Blender on Radeon RX 7000 and above graphics products. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to install AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.3.1. The newly released AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.2 driver is now available for download from the AMD Software app. Find the official changelog here.

    • Microsoft admits one of the most crucial Outlook features is currently broken by Sayan Sen Microsoft is making some decent progress when it comes to Windows 11. Recently we have confirmed reports of some rather useful improvements landing in the next version of the OS, 26H2, wherein GPU driver TDR crashes may finally be fixed, plus the company is also allowing users to disable web content on the Search. On the Outlook front though things have not been so rosy. Last month in May we reported several problems affecting basic functionalities on the app. These included a problem where documents would open blank or corrupt themselves. Following that, Quick Steps, a very useful feature, would no longer work correctly, and finally, Microsoft acknowledged a problem wherein images would fail to load up properly inside the email. Microsoft had resolved those bugs later and almost exactly a month after we reported on them, the company has now admitted a new similarly basic issue, this time on Macs. Users recently started noticing that Outlook would no longer display email threads properly as the original message itself was not displayed. An affected user Tsoumpas, C (ngmb) nicely described the problem in a forum post they made on Microsoft's site. They wrote: "Description of the issue: After updating Outlook for Mac [Version 16.110 (26061317)] on 18/6/2026, replying to any email no longer includes the original message in the reply window. Prior to the update, replies correctly contained the original email text below my response. Expected behavior: The original message should be included in the reply, as in previous Outlook versions and according to the configured reply settings. Actual behavior: The reply window contains only a blank composition area (or only my response), with none of the original email text included." Obviously this must be a highly frustrating for users as noted by several in that thread. The post, at the time of writing, has also been upvoted by more than 40 users indicating that is a fairly widespread bug. Thankfully Microsoft seems to have acknowledged the problem right around that time as it opened a new issue on its official website. In the support article, the company recommends switching to Outlook for Mac from the legacy app, where the problem appears to be happening.
