Just for my own sake, and the fact that I like this theme so much, I modified the blackbox theme iceqube by dreamer to use Opus Natural colors (which actually look a lot like neowin colors... hmm). Hope someone wants it :) :

*OULOOK 2003 & DREAMWEAVER MX 2004 BUG FIXED*

The problem with this bug is that the tab pane as the content section with a transparent color and that'a why you get those nasty weird text and colors on the already mentioned programs.

I toke some time to find the problem and try to fix for my self cuz I don't know what happen to b0se but I really wanted that fixed so I had to do it myself. It was easier than I thought because I just relazied that the problem had something to do with the tabs so here's how you can fix it (stylebuilder is required):

1) Import "ONatural.msstyles" to wherever you want in StyleBuilder

2) In the pars tree go to: name of the sub style\values\general\tab\ and click on "Pane"

3) Remove the properties "TRANSPARENT COLOR" and "TRANSPARENT"

4) Edit the file "TabPaneEdge.bmp" and paint he pink color with the color you want for background. I used: 237,235,233

5) Save the bitmap file

6) Compile and Apply

7) Done!

Hope this is usefull...

That's awesome, that did the trick.

Finally I can use this beautiful theme again!

Would you have some similar advices for Reluna?? I tried to find out what could be the pb (which looks the same) but the tabpaneedge bitmaps isn't transparent. Or maybe the transparent color is not pink in this case, but white? gota check the reluna thread

Edit: the pb in reluna is actually exactly the same, except the transparent color in this case is pure white (255,255,255).

Changing it to (254,254,253) for example - which should be the right color - did the trick - hurray!

gonna post that in the reluna thread, it might be interesting for people not wanting to wait for an update

There is't actually any need to have StyleBuilder at all. All you need to do is edit the TabPaneEdge.bmp bitmap which can be done with a simple resource editor (there is no need to change the values at all).

I know but maybe for some people using a resource editor is unsafe or they don't know how to do it right and don't mess it up.

And besides I just told this way cuz removing that 2 propertyes, the theme file will be cleaner and not tiwht stuff that don't actually needs :)

Of course just paiting the bitmpat will do the trickb ecause the transparent color isn't there so there's nothing to become transparent...

Hi all,

Thanks for the bug fix, will add that to the update!

Still no Internet connection, and this Masters course invloves a damn lot of work, so I've had no chance to complete the updates yet. Will be back home for christmas so expect one then :)

Also, got an idea for a new theme that some people may like, will also knock up a beta of that when I get back.

Thanks for your patience,

Ross (b0se)

Hey b0se, are you still planning on releasing the update to this theme? I'd love to see some of the mouseover effects that you have plannned...

By the way, does anyone have any wallpaper(s) to go with this theme?

Hes only just released Opus Luna, give the guy a chance :p

I made 2 wallpapers for this theme sometime ago, nothing big but I think it suits the theme pretty well :)

Uploaded them today on DeviantArt -

    • Well I've done a grand total of nothing, and it now clocks between 2010mhz and 1995mhz (stock is 1710mhz) and hovers around 80c, warmer than it used to, but tolerable clocks seem to have returned. Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Will review the evidence and make a choice.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
