I cannot assure this is the correct source code. But anyway here it is: :)

You need to add this code to your ConfigCache XML file. The XML file's location on Windows 2000, XP or 2003 should be:

C:\Documents and Settings\{Your Username}\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger\{Your .NET Passport's UID}\ConfigCache.XML

Add this source into your XML file:

<tab>

<image>https://www.neowin.net/tab/images/tab.png</image>

<name>Neowin.NET</name>

<tooltip>Neowin.net. Where unprofessional journalism looks better.</tooltip>

<contenturl>https://www.neowin.net/tab/</contenturl>

<hidden>false</hidden>

</tab>

After that: save the XML file and exit MSN Messenger. Reopen MSN Messenger and sign-in using your account.

Tip: Depending on certain variables the ConfigCache.XML file sets itself to expire after a certain amount of days.

As for your second question: "will it work on 6.0 or 6.1?" It will ONLY work on versions 6.0 or 6.1 at this stage.
